Women’s gathering - Rituals for Release Retreat

What is this retreat?
The Rituals for Release Retreat offers a gentle, intentional space for women to meet their grief — and the emotions that often accompany it. The goal isn’t to get rid of grief, but to meet it with love and help it find its place in the embroidery of your life.

Grief is not only the loss of someone we love. It can be the quiet ache of letting go of who we thought we would be, a future that has shifted, or moments that didn’t unfold as imagined. Often entwined with sadness, anger, fear, or loneliness, grief can be rushed through in order to be fixed, ignoring the step where our difficulties and pains simply need to be seen in order to breathe.

This retreat offers a pause to notice, feel, and meet it with care.

An intentional space
The retreat combines silence, stillness, optional sharing, guided movement, and creative expression. There is no forcing, fixing, or pushing through — participation is always your choice.

You are invited to soften toward your experience, release emotions that are ready to move, and witness others in presence and support.

By creating this space of pause and awareness together, we can attempt to see the situation as it actually is, recognising the power that love has in our healing process and identifying what we need to give ourselves in order to take a step forward. A gift to ourselves and our journey.

This retreat is for anyone who has been stretched, changed, or asked to meet life differently than expected — and who longs for a soft place to land.

  • - Soft welcome circle, silence, guided meditation
    - Reopening the silence, connection and optional sharing
    - Gentle movement, breath release, and closing ritual

  • As a birth doula, I work with the mind-body connection, using breath, movement, and emotional awareness to support transformation. I noticed that rituals — farewells, welcomes, or transitions — can help people release grief and emotions that might otherwise block life changes. Guided, intentional space often allows participants to process sensitive experiences with clarity and care.

A life-changing event — my partner’s brain tumour diagnosis — deepened my understanding of living grief. I experienced fear, uncertainty, and profound inner challenge. While this does not make me an expert, it connected me deeply with others navigating loss, change, or unique life challenges. With the support of yoga, rituals, and intentional writing, this retreat was born — a safe space for grief to be seen, held, and released.
